Interesting Claims To Fame

I have worked for Reckitt Benckiser for 14 years now, starting in the Surface Care department and working on Dettol. I spent 7.5 years in the New Technology department working across all brands, where I gained many patents from formulation to packaging. My most interesting patents are based around a cleaning liquid that exhibits self movement when sprayed onto a surface. I joined the Homecare Innovation team in 2007 to concentrate on Airwick, one of RB’s Global Jewels. Since 2009 I have been responsible for candles – an area where Airwick has not been a significant player. We had a basic and a premium candle on sale until 2010. In 2010 we launched the ‘Ribbon Scent’ candle and in 1 year I have helped to grow our candle business by 245%. We won a consumer product of the year award for this product. I have also filled the candle pipeline for Airwick until 2014 and this work enabled a recent move to a wider Technology Scouting role.
